Our frustration isn't just about the daily annoyance of clearing the hallway floor. Postal marketing carries a massive, often invisible environmental toll that we can no longer ignore:

  • Massive Waste: Historically, direct mail in the UK has accounted for up to 550,000 tonnes of paper waste every single year.

  • The Carbon Footprint: From logging and paper processing to heavy transport and final delivery, a single standard marketing letter can produce between 10g and 30g of CO2 across its lifecycle.

  • Cost to Taxpayer: Our council tax pays for the disposal of this unwanted junk mail. This is a waste of resources in our community that could be utilised to improve socioeconomic standards
